Six days in Seogwipo [Jeju, SK]- a ‘Shuffled’ Set of Shots!
Shuffled? Sure…
Well, alright, I randomly and rather rushedly selected a few pictures from the many, many photos I snapped over about 6 days of being in the Seogwipo area of Jeju Island, South Korea.
As I write this, I’ve actually stayed at 3 different accommodation places and in varying areas of the Seogwipo area – I stayed 3 nights in Gangjeong Village area, where I also visited my activist friends at the entrance of the constantly opposed Jeju Navy Base, then I stayed 5 nights with a view of Halla Mountain (South Korea’s highest mountain) in the main Part & indeed Port area of Seogwipo itself… and to end this latest Jeju-do trip I’m having 2 nights overlooking the harbour, the various islands and even Saeseom Island & the Saeyeongyo Bridge (새섬 새연교)!
A true highlight was not only staring at the white-tipped Halla Mountain (Hallasan / 한라산) but also watching amazed as a beautiful [double] rainbow formed in my window space!
These 6 photos don’t really do my time justice but the last 4 or 5 days in particular have made me feel really immersed in this area. It’s cold here too, but not as cold as Seoul, which is where I’ll be heading to from tomorrow!
(And speaking of photos or indeed video of Korean-related places or more precisely “Korean /Asian films and movie-making” in general, feel free to check out my long-running MiniMiniMovie.com website – A new post will appear there soon!)
